Ok, Kabir Singh is not your picture perfect protagonist and neither the director tried to show him in that light.

It's about a guy who's not perfect, has anger issues but has fallen in love and doesn't want to move on after he's hurt. For him, she is everything.

It's not your KJO type movie wherein the protagonist is a hero who won't do a bad thing, his families are happy with him, his neighbors are happy and the entire college or city is happy with him.

It's a story about a flawed person which is totally normal in real life. Don't we have such friends or colleagues or people around us who we may not like but they are like that? So, if you feel it's patriarchal and misogynistic, it is but it is that story about that man! Period.

Through his perspective, we realized he was pure and didn't believe in casteism that comes in the way of love. Have we not come across that? Do we not become partial to other castes? My own marriage had almost become a victim of casteism but we held our own and now happily married for many years.

We saw a full circle of Kabir who was a sensitive child in love with a doll but was also possessive. We saw how he became protective for a new girl in college and she being a docile, submissive girl also fell in love with him. She loved him. It's not like he forced himself on her.

He got hurt, did wrong things but still was a man of morals and came out clean when needed. He acknowledged himself that's the only thing he liked about himself.

His coming of age while talking to his father when the latter was down in his life, shows his character development wonderfully written by Vanga. I'm his fan now.

Lots of hints are thrown out in open here's a guy with so many issues is the topper of his college, did what the society wanted of him which is to be topper, study well, be a doctor but then he didn't give a damn about what he wanted to do in his personal life and what others thought of him.

Other things he did when he did while womanizing he was broken and hurt. People when hurt deal with their issues differently. While some throw their phones on the floor in anger, others may just tell themselves to get up and go. Was he right? It's about his story and life, not ours.

Need to view that story from that perspective and feel his pain and disagree where you didn't like it. But you can't say it's glorifying his wrong deeds.

Was Padmavat glorifying Khilji's work or GoT glorifying nudity and butchering?

I loved this new type of love story. The team worked hard and I loved all the characters in the film especially his friend Shiva - a true real raw friendship.

Kiara was beautiful and could be the next big sensation as Disha did after MS Dhoni.

Shahid can finally be sure his father is proud of his work. Never felt it was him and not Kabir for a second.

Request to the viewers to not be judgemental and watch it for what it is. Mind you, you'd not be disappointed. Peace!

This movie is very disappointing to the huge fan base of srk including me. Plot is quite poor with unrealistic built. As the movie progress it'll get you into more disbelief. The movie actually starts with good entertainment but then it just becomes something that makes you wonder if it was worth spending these much money in PVR with your girlfriend. It has been kind of a problem lately with SRK movies that they start with a bang and then they let you down.

Another wannabe intelligent movie which falls short. Shahrukh should stick to the romance he is known for though age now don't help him in that. This is an ordinary movie which will be liked by SRK fans, nothing else. I wasted my money watching this expecting SRK has matured as an actor but he hasn't. Honest review among lots of paid reviews.

Race 3 - Movie Review

While films like Parmanu, Padmavati, Padman, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety , 102 Not Out, Hichki or even Blackmail were treat to eyes in the first half of 2018 giving hope that Bollywood movies have matured but then there comes a crap like Race 3 that will spoil your mood and you will wonder that if the makers are taking the audience for granted.

Race 3 tells the story of a dispute between a family when Shamsher Singh (Anil Kapoor) decides to give half of his wealth to the adopted son, Sikander Singh (Salman Khan) and the rest of it between his own kids, Suraj (Saqeeb Saleem) and Sanjana (Daisy Shah).

Directed by Remo D'Souza, who has made a decent film ABCD and pathetic ones like A Flying Jatt and ABCD 2, Race 3 is one hell of a journey which you wish to forget once you leave the theater. Right from the opening scene of the film to the climax, forget about logic, even the story is full of potholes. There is some breath of air when Anil Kapoor tells about his plan but again the film goes back to the loop hole and sadly does not recover. The first film Race (2008) was brilliant with solid twist and turns followed by an average Race 2 (2016). Race 3 is a nightmare which you should get over immediately with as it will haunt you, the more you think about it.

None of songs are good (surprisingly music is composed by brilliant duo Salim - Sulaiman). Action scenes , though few scenes were fine, but again gone overboard. Race 3 is high on production values and less on content. Dialogues are horrible and funny especially - Our business is our business , none of your business. Even the Bhojpuri language used in between the scenes is irritating.

Coming to the performances, none of the actors have done justice to their role. I do not understand why Salman Khan is repeating himself, even though he is in Bollywood industry for more than 25 years. The actor, who was superb in films like Dabanng and Sultan, should start experimenting with roles. Anil Kapoor is fine but could have been better. Bobby Deol makes a decent comeback but sadly not enough to leave any impact. Lesser spoken about Saqeeb Salim, Daisy Shah and Jacqueline Fernandez, the better.

Overall, Race 3 is an insult to Bollywood. Avoid it any cost. Even on IMDB, it got only 3 stars out of 10 so you know what that means. We, definitely missed the director duo brothers Abbas-Mustan here.

Summer movies often hype themselves as spectacular events not to be missed and their ad campaigns use words like "epic", "spectacle", and "smash" as ways to build the hype to increase advanced box office sales. The summer 2018 film season kicks off in a big way with "Avengers: Infinity War" and it is the rare summer film that exceeds is lofty expectations and delivers a crowning achievement for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. When Thanos (Josh Brolin), embarks on a deadly campaign to find and possess the Infinity Stones, he leaves a path of death and destruction in his path. When his pursuit leading him to Earth, Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo), and Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), who enlist a reluctant Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), to the cause just as the minions of Thanos arrive.

With The Avengers fractured and scattered following the events of "Captain America: Civil War" the teams find themselves dealing with the threat in various groups as fate steps in to divide many key members of the team. This allows for a great entry by the Guardians of the Galaxy and allows the film to take a very enjoyable path. Essentially the movie weaves separate storylines into one cohesive and very satisfying epic. You have a story with the Guardians as well as one with many of the key Avengers, as well as others with characters old and new. As such it is like a Guardians, Avengers, and Marvel film all rolled into one and each one supports the other very well yet has the charm and identity you would expect. While the tone is very dark as you would expect with literally half of the known universe facing destruction, there is also some solid humor in the film that never once undermines the story or pacing. Naturally the effects are stunning as you would expect as Marvel has put a significant amount of money into the film and it shows in every eye-popping action sequence.

What really impressed me the most was that the Russo Brothers never let the FX of the film overshadow the characters and with a very large cast, it was nice to see everyone got their moment and you did not see members of the cast trying to one up each other. There are some real surprise moments along the way and the action is easily the best of any Marvel film to date. Many fans had expressed disappointment with "Avengers: Age of Ultron" for me this film is significantly better than the prior film and is everything that a Marvel fan would want in a film. I was also surprised by how well Thanos was portrayed as while you hopefully will not agree with his deductions and methods; you could actually understand his motivations and it help him transcend from the usual megalomaniacs which are so common in films of his type. I am really looking forward to seeing what comes next and make sure you stay through the credits for a bonus scene. Believe the hype, "Avengers: Infinity War" is an epic not to be missed and is an example of what a summer event film should be.

NANU KI JAANU - MOVIE REVIEWS

Direction:

War Chod Na Yaar fame Faraz Haider has come up with remake of Tamil cinema Pissaasu. He want to spread social message about use of mobile phones while driving and use of helmets by Horror comedy however script does not go well.

Performance:

Abhay Deol is back to cinema after gap of 2 years and audience was expecting something really good one but different one. This movie was not definitely good choice for Abhay's comeback. His performance is also not upto the mark with his last movies. Patralekha was good in short role but she can act better than this. Only one guy impressed the audience with perfect comic timing was Manu Rishi. Rajesh Sharma was totally wasted for this movie.

Script:

Manu Rishi tried to improve the script of Pisaasu but it ended with illogical horror comedy. First half was written better as you will laugh more in first half than second half.

Music:

Music composed by Gunwant Sen, Sachin Gupta and Babli Huque-Meera while lyrics are penned by Abid Ali, Danish Sabri, Sonu Saggu, Sajid Qureshi and Sachin Gupta. Music failed to impress even Sapna choudhary's song was wastage of time.

SONU KE TITU KI SWEETY - MOVIE REVIEW

Luv Ranjan is famous for his so called realistic movies on youth like Pyar Ka Punchnama 1,2 and AakashVaani. This time he has taken a challenge, to show us the fight between girl vs friend!

Sonu (Kartik Aaryan) is a best friend of Titu (Sunny Singh) since school. He has been protective about his friend all the time. After successfully conducted a breakup by Sonu, Titu plans to get settled and finds out Sweety (Nushrat) for arranged marriage. However, Sonu has instincts that she is not the right girl. I am not reviling much, but from trailer it is clear that, it is a fight between boy's best friend or girl. See the film to find out who's won!

Music is cool. Though, there are few songs which personally I didn't like, but they are suitable in the film's mood. Though, there is a song about friendship, sung by Arijit, is extremely good. Also, the performance in that song makes it more delightful.

Sunny Singh has done his part fine. Nushrat is the girl who always hits the note! Her expressions, especially from smile to arrogance and arrogance to smile, are superb. Supportive cast is good.

There are two men in the film, who can make it watchable for couple of times, and they are- Kartik Aaryan and Alok Nath. No one can think even in dream that Alok Nath can deliver local gaalis. The drinking scenes, the kebab scenes, the conversations between Alok and Kartik- these are the scenes which uplift the film on the level it deserves to be. Hat's off to the casting director for making Alokji 'Ghazeete'. For Kartik, I would say that let's declare this man- Sexiest Youngster in India! Also, no one can pull off this role as he has done. He is going to be the next superstar who can act, and will definitely do for a very long time.

Camerawork is superb. Editing is sharp. Locations are beautiful. The film is colorful as well as grand in the scale. Dialogues are to the point and up to the mark. The war of words have been excellently written for both the characters (Sonu and Sweety). Every punch line has its own value, and people are shouting and cheering and clapping onto those lines. The 'Didi ne kaha' scenes were so funny that I am laughing now while writing about them. There was a group in my hall, which went mad in climax, and started cheering and shouting, as the delivery was superb by actors. I really liked The No Monologue climax, instead just few lines with great conviction. It gives strength to us too, as whatsoever happening there, is in the right mood and on the right track.

So, for showing the absolutely Right way through the film, and for the answer of the question, on which the film has been made, I would like to thank Luv Ranjan. This is by far his best film. And would like to watch this again and again.

Go for it guys. You will put it in your all time favorites. I found no objection in the film. It is sharp, quick, quirky, funny, light hearted, original, to the point, genuine, hilarious, and the best from Luv.

NEWTON - MOVIE REVIEW

Movies like these rarely come in Bollywood and I really applaud their marketing tactics. They released the film on the day of announcement of the film being sent for Oscars, which was a good gamble. There's no way a lot of people who have seen this movie, and made it a success, would have watched it otherwise.

There is a much needed class and subtlety in this movie. I specially like the suggestion they made with the shopping mall scene. Nothing was said but a lot was done! Something that is a big rarity in Bollywood. The movie tackles a serious, controversial and conversation-sparking topic with extreme good care. They managed to make people laugh while making them aware about a lot of things going on in the country.

The director needs to be applauded for this one. He has a very firm grasp on Indian culture and it's nuances. He chooses to portray it really well. No unnecessary dramatization was done. Minimalistic approach of the director makes the movie appealing. The cinematography is brilliant and refreshing.

The screenplay is smooth and never feels abrupt nor slows down to boring at any point. The film has been edited well enough to make it an engaging 1-hour-46-minutes experience.

When you have Rajkummar Rao in the movie, you do not doubt the acting skills but even he has bested himself with this one! The typical character nuances, speech, diction, blinking of eye, he perfected literally everything!

Final verdict: A MUST WATCH. I really hope people would make this a bigger success (chances are scarce) so that the producers would start shifting their focus from unbearably stupid movies like Judwa 2 to classy satirical movies like this!

JUDWAA 2 - MOVIE REVIEWS

This is as awful as Bollywood can get. Starting with the issue of nepotism, this is literally the biggest example of it. A terrible movie, that was a product of collaboration of people brought into the industry by nepotism in the first place, is being remade, just to build on the earlier fame, by the collaboration of yet another people who were launched solely because of nepotism. To add to this, the movie stars the son of the director!! *Slow but thundering loud claps*

The movie that was already unbearably stupid originally has been brought back to indulge the modern and slowly changing approach of Bollywood and has thrust it backward once again, selling brash and blunt, racist and sexist slurs as jokes! There's literally no story, no script, no acting, no direction, NOTHING! This is the worst thing to happen to Bollywood. Even KRK and RGW movies were better than this one.
I strongly urge people to wake up and start boycotting movies like these, which are a curse on the industry and humanity and going for movies like Newton instead.

TOILET EK PREM KATHA REVIEW : What do you expect from a medium budget film? Comedy, humour, songs, romance etc and what If you get something extra Content like, a never tried social awareness subject like Open dedication in entertaining and then turning social movement way along, obviously it is much more than what our ticket purchase deserves and that's what has exactly happened with TEPK.

Film starts on a pacy note, looks a desi regional rom com and keeps a grin smile on your face throughout 50 minutes and then Content strikes. Film entertains Again in 2nd half for another 40-50 minutes and again content strikes but loses that grip and impact created in previous 110 minutes. Akshay Kumar is in terrific form once again as an Actor as well as with his script sense. Bhumi is much more confident than her previous outing and delivers a power packed performance. All Supporting actors have been more than useful. Music is Average still video songs never makes you bore especially 'Has Mat Pagli' in 1st half is completely situational and grippy, 'Latth Mar' in 2nd half is catchy. Cinematography is excellent, watch out for those Holi celebration scenes. Editing and Direction is done by the same man so i must talk about it in details. Dear Shree Narayan Singh you were excellent as editor and director throughout 2 hours then why did you lose the tempo and impact in last 20-25 minutes. I mean there was no need to stretch the pretty much predictable climax with some Government promotional scenes. You missed a well made Classic by your fault or may be you intentionally did it just to please the specific fanbase of our government. Full marks to your Direction for first 2 hours, you worked on very small small things which i see rarely in Bollywood except Aamir or Hirani's films. But it hurts when a Potential Classic ends up being just another Good Film.

Overall, TEPK is yet another Good film from Akshay Kumar, one who loves watching good films must admit that Akshay is having a Best script sense in Bollywood now days after Aamir Khan. He succeeds again to disappoint his haters and will succeed again to bring neutral people to theaters by ending recent dry spell at Box Office. As a whole, TEPK just doesn't remain film, it becomes a Social Movement and i salute makers for choosing a challenging and social script like this. I'm surely gonna give it a repeat watch, most probably with Family this time. If you're also tired of some crap films recently and want a Good film which offers you Comedy, Romance and above all a Social awareness campaign then GO FOR IT, DO NOT MISS! Comparatively (Only Akki Films), TEPK is as Good as Rustom but not up to the level of Baby and JollyLLB2.

Jagga Jasoos reminded me of my academic year in high school..it started off with a bang, but gradually turned out to be massive letdown.

The effort at putting together a smart and funny action adventure could be spotted throughout the stylized comic-bookish tone of the film, which is a really unique attempt by Anurag Basu. But the tone is all over the place. The idea of putting together an action-musical is executed well, but at parts, the songs feel forced and the singing unnecessary.

It eventually turns from smart and funny to stupid and silly, and by the time its over..you are left with nothing but expectations for a better sequel, which is made evident by a guest appearance at the very end. Its a very fast-paced movie, with creative visual choices and without any boring elements. But the action lacks originality and feels choppy. The visual effects are not so bad. Overall, its a good attempt but a big disappointment.
